VW introduces the new Tiquan

Volkswagen starts with the first pictures in the countdown to the launch of the new Tiquan a new compact SUV. First presentation to the public of the jeep was in September at the IAA in Frankfurt.

Less consumption, lower emissions;
The Tiquan SUV comes optical in the Golf format and combines the sidelines of his big brother Touareg with the new front of VW. The Tiquan is - and this is unique in the world- only charged with direct injection engines. These so-called high-charge, lowers consumption and emissions without leaving the driving pleasure on the track.

Diesel:
Altogether the Tiquan is available with three TSI and two TDI engines. Complete new developments are the silent TDI with common-rail injection. They make 103 kW / 140 hpand 125 kW / 170 hp. The maximum torque is 320 Nm and 350 Nm at 1,750 rpm. Both diesel engines already fulfill the limits of the advance from 2009 Euro-5-Norm.

Gasoline:
Strong, economical and clean: This should also apply to the charged-injection petrol engine. They are in the following performance levels: 110 kW / 150 hp, 125 kW / 170 hp and 147 kW / 200 hp. For the smallest TSI is the torque at 240 Nm (from 1750 rpm). For the other two engines called VW 280 Nm (both from 1800 r / min).
